FF Through the Breaking Ground Phase

Recently my eldest daughter Greta asked me if I was interested in starting a blog.  At first I was hesitant.  Who would read it? What would I write? What is the point anyway?  She convinced me that a) it doesn't matter if anyone reads it, b) I have plenty to write about, and c) the point is to document and share my daily projects!! Well all questions were answered and I am ready to get started.  Here is a short history by pictures of the house from 2007-2012 and skipping a lot in between.

September 2007 we broke ground in Elizabethtown, NY.

This was about 5 years ago now.  There are a million of blog gems that have happened since the ground breaking that I would like to cover.  But there is no time now.

Not too long after the ground breaking the walls came up.

And then the stone work was started (2008-2012!!) All by hand, Husband Carl's hand.

All the while, I progressed through various interior and exterior projects...these projects are what I want to focus my blog on.  Also, when I am not working away on my current project, I LOVE to be outside climbing mountains, riding my bike, or running.  So most likely I will post a thing of two on these topics as well.

More to come soon!
